Return Policy 

Thank you for your purchase from LaBoard! We strive to create high-quality, handcrafted cutting boards and woodworking pieces that you'll love. However, we understand that sometimes returns are necessary. Please read our return policy carefully before making a purchase.

Eligibility for Returns:

We accept returns on most items within 14 days of delivery, provided the following conditions are met:

• The item is in its original, unused condition.

• The item is returned in its original packaging, or securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.

• You provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt).

Exceptions:

The following items are not eligible for return:

• Custom or personalized orders: Items made to your specific dimensions, design, wood type, engravings, or any other personalization cannot be returned. We will work closely with you during the design process to ensure your complete satisfaction before production begins. This includes initial proofs and design discussions.

• Sale items: Items purchased on sale or clearance are final sale and cannot be returned.

• Gift Cards: Gift cards are non-refundable.

• Damaged items (see below): Returns due to damage during shipping are handled differently.

Damaged Items:

If your item arrives damaged, please contact us immediately (within 7 days of delivery) at info@laboard.ca with photos of the damage, the packaging, and your order number. We will assess the damage and, at our discretion, offer one of the following solutions:

• Replacement: We will create a replacement item and ship it to you at no additional cost.

• Repair: We may offer to repair the damaged item.

• Full Refund: If a replacement or repair is not feasible, we will issue a full refund.

Return Process:

1. Contact Us: Email us at info@laboard.ca within 14 days of delivery (7 days for damaged items) to initiate a return. Please include your order number and reason for the return.

2. Return Authorization: We will review your request and, if approved, provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and return shipping instructions.

3. Packaging and Shipping: Securely package the item and ship it back to us within 7 days of receiving the RAN. You are responsible for the return shipping costs, unless the return is due to a damaged item (as outlined above). We recommend using a trackable shipping service and insuring the package for its value, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged returns.

4. Inspection and Refund: Once we receive the returned item, we will inspect it to ensure it meets our return policy criteria. If approved, we will process your refund within 7 business days. The refund will be credited to your original payment method.  

Refunds:

Refunds will be issued for the original purchase price of the item, excluding any original shipping costs.
